Our bodies carry important insights and information that many traditional or specialized approaches to healing never consider or touch into

if you have found your way here, you may likely be feeling stuck, frustrated, discouraged, maybe even hopeless … it is also likely that you have a deep sense that something else is possible for you, there is something you just haven’t tried or tapped into … yet … and so you are also feeling hopeful, curious, or willing.

I’m so glad you’re here.

A somatic approach recognizes that:

  • our bodies are always reading, responding, and reacting to our inner and outer experiences and environments

  • our bodies are inherently intelligent, adaptive, resourceful, and wise in the ways they ensure that we can survive - even if we don’t understand why our bodies, they make sense

  • our physical, mental, energetic, emotional, relational, and spiritual states are deeply interconnected - you cannot pull them apart or tend to them separately

  • stress and trauma have both short and long term, seen and unseen impacts on our physical, mental, energetic, emotional, relational, and spiritual health and wellbeing - these impacts are unique to each person

  • every human has an innate ability to heal, grow, connect, and create change within them.

Those who seek out or are referred to somatic work have often engaged in different types of healing or support with limited results. Many have an awareness of their challenges but have a hard time creating the change they want. Others have been told that “every looks good or seems normal” despite their symptoms or suffering.

A somatic approach understand the complexity of the body and works with presenting symptoms and challenges as a guide to the deeper root causes, dynamics, and impacts that have yet to be understood or supported. From a place of deeper awareness and understanding, we work with mind, body, and biology to provide the support that is needed to facilitate healing, growth, and change on a deeper level.

No matter who you are, where you come from, what you’ve gone through… healing, growth, and change is possible for you.

I look forward to the opportunity to seeing what is possible with you.

My story

I first came to somatic work as someone who was silently suffering in a deep way and was seeking healing and relief too.

From a very young age I suffered from debilitating anxiety, asthma, and panic attacks. I suffered in silence due to the stigma of therapy, which left me feeling scared, overwhelmed, deeply broken, and very alone. I was very self conscious, but also came across as confident and charismatic. I found ways manage it but the anxiety and panic were always there, just beneath the surface, waiting to rush in. It was a full time inner job.

It wasn’t until I found my way to yoga at 14 years old that I began to experience moments of relief - something softened, released, eased in my mind and my body. It happened again and again, but it didn’t seem to stick. I started experiencing it when I spent time out in nature, or with a close trusted friend with whom I could talk to and turn to when my anxiety come on. But those moments too felt so fleeting and hard to hang on to.

It wasn’t until I discovered somatic work that I began to learn about the language of my body, understand what was happening in those moments, and learn how to access safety and ease more often. Slowly, but deeply, something began to shift and everything began to change.

My asthma has cleared up, anxiety rarely rears in the same way, and I haven’t had a panic attack in over 10 years.

I would never have imagined it was possible.

I know how powerful and profound and life changing this work can be and am honored to being the perspective of my own lived experience to my work as a practitioner.

I look forward to the opportunity to uncover what’s possible for you.
