Somatic approaches to traditional therapeutic modalities are centered around incorporating and integrating mind (psychology), body (physiology), and being (your true self and values.
Soma translates to the living body in it’s wholeness. Somatic work goes deeper than our intellectual and cognitive understanding of our symptoms, struggles, and stressors to draw insights and information from the intelligence of our body, our biology, and our behaviors.
Somatic therapy guides you deeper into your thoughts, truths, emotions as expressions or experiences in the body that are often ignored, overlooked, manipulated, or misunderstood.
Intentionally incorporating your somatic experience (your body experience) allows us to identify and work with the root causes and impacts.
